Learnings About Wordings

Welcome to Interiority

All right—if you’re here, you probably already know Interiority isn’t just another newsletter. Or set of articles. Or whatever.

We’re here to delve, bay-bee. We’re here to get granular, to dive into the nuts and bolts of what really makes great fiction shine, one theme at a time. Why? In my 14+ years as a fiction editor and in 7 years of teaching, there just isn’t enough time for anything besides scratching the surface. All the feedback documents and 50-minute classes in the world aren’t enough to cover not just what makes good writing, but how to do it.

Hence, Interiority. So called because it’s a look into the thoughts and feelings of one particular editor (moi), and it’s also a look behind the proverbial curtain that shares how to actually craft good writing. You’re getting a look inside, and it’ll help you do it better. Stick with me and watch your words improve.

If you’ve ever got questions, it’s easy to reach me. Contact me here, or holler on Bluesky. Let’s get wording!
